seeings as I already have a much cooler khipper blog, I don't know why I am writing in this one, but I will. I will also write in the stream of consciousness-esque style rund has started. Speaking of runds, I can't allow for her to be the only substantial blogger to this weblog so maybe that's why I'm writing. Besides, this was supposed to be a family blog, but some people are too self conscious or too aisha to do anything about it.
So I will begin talking about sleep. I have recently turned nocturnal. The other day I was completely diurnal, even waking up right as the sun was rising. I don't know if I'll ever adjust but I'll keeps you guyses updated hopefully. I heard a good way to defeat jetlag was by fasting for a day-- its supposed to reset your biological clock. I would do it, except for the fact that people are ready to slit your throat if you refuse food from them here.
So imma try to get more sleep, and take more pictures. rund has a mono-poly on that front. her camera isnt that much better. only one more megabixel and a bit more zoom. everything else is about the same down to the image stabilization. currently i have pictures of diana's grad party, a habibeh store front, and pics of cute cousins.
i should start to document my time here with picshas. words is useful but if the techmology is there to record an image, or a moving one, one should take an advantage of it. two are also allowed to take advantage of it.
sometimes i wonder what i would do with my time if i was a bit more independent. i was pretty independent for my week in Cairo, and that was fun. altho i still felt like a tourist and never got to see how Cairo really is. a middle ground would be nice. be here alone, but be able to be in contact with someone who is from here, someone who can possibly speak on the same wavelength, or at least one that's in phase.
i'm starting to think wordpress kinda has a leg up on blogger. only thing this has going for it is that google is behind it.
soooo i've made my debut on this ridiculous thing, who knows maybe next time I'll actually say something.
